Van Damme at the high point of his career, great stuff
One of the biggest fight movies of the 80s. Made Van Damme's career.
Good, bad movie. People will watch this for nostalgic reasons (and love it).
Dark and bloody, coreography is great, other than that, nothing special.
A JVCD classic, full of badass martial arts. Classic martial arts tournament story, JVCD really shined in this one.
very run of the mill martial arts film. cheesy in parts too
Not as good as bloodsport which is more or less the same thing. Fist fights with glass covered gloves is pretty metal though
Probably the best of Van Damme’s tournament style movies. It’s a simple, yet efficient story & JCVD offers plenty of his badass fighting.
Good action movie, some great fight scenes and action, worth watching
Just a guilty pleasure from my childhood
If your enemy refuses to be humbled... Destroy him. Accompanied by his brother Kurt (Van Damme), American kickboxing champion Eric Sloane (Dennis Alexio), arrives in Thailand to defeat the Eastern warriors at their own sport. His opponent: ruthless fighter and Thai champion, Tong Po. Tong not only defeats Eric, he paralyzes him for life. Crazed with anger, Kurt vows revenge.
In this rousing sequel to Kickboxer, Tong Po broods about his defeat at the hands of Kurt Sloan. Po and his managers resort to drastic measures to goad Kurt into the ring for a rematch.
Kick-box champion David Sloan arrives in Rio de Janeiro for an exhibition fight. He and mentor Xian take pity on Brazilian rascal Marcos Coasta, an urchin who offers guide services but routinely steals from tourists for himself and his older sister Isabella. David is shocked when he sees how his Argentinian opponent Marcelo needlessly abuses a courteous local sparing partner. That's the doing of his evil US manager, Lane. He has nasty plans to force David to cheat and runs a white slavery racket.
David Sloan must travel to Mexico to save his wife from a savage international terrorist.
Kickboxing champion Matt Reeves witnesses the murder of his friend Johnny. While investigating the crime, he learns that a Mr. Negaal in South Africa has founded a new kickboxing association and does not leave international champions much of a chance. Johnny had to pay with his life when he did not want to join. Neegal seems to kill everybody who is in his way especially David Sloan from the previous Kickboxer films. Matt is on his own now, but suddenly finds an unexpected ally.
