It adds more background behind the idea of the movies, but has a much more interesting way of laying out the hauntings and details
I thought it was good, but I haven’t seen the first 2 movies so I have nothing to base it off of
Great movie but definitely not better as the first two movies are.
Good story, some creepy bits. Went a bit off the rails at the end though.
Easily the best of the series in my opinion, felt like there was real danger and repercussions for the protagonists
Wasn’t like the others, but I still liked it.
Slightly more interesting than Ch2 & didn't do the Psycho style Man-in-a-Dress villain, at least. Still incredibly bland, but red guy cameo!
As for a prequel it pretty solid & scary but it not as strong as the first 2 films, Lin Shaye continues to be the highlight of these movies.
I love all the Insidious films, this one is no exception.
This definitely felt like the turning point in the series, still a worthy watch for fans of the franchise though
