One of my favorite Coen films because of the sheer absurdity & side characters. Every character is unique and interesting & plot is twisty.
Such a good Coen flick, little bit of symbolism if you care or not though it doesn't matter too much
Difficult to tell what kind of genre this is after i watched it
This movie isn’t for everyone, but I fell in love with it when I saw it. If you are a Coen Brothers fan this is a must watch.
It's a slow movie but that's not synonymous with boredom. It is very funny and intriguing!
There is so much going on that it's almost impenetrable, but god damn if you don't feel the fire of the descent into the LA hotel hellscape.
Coen Bros. satire about serious but clueless playwright in Hollywood. Turturro and John Goodman shine.
A dark parable about Hollywood and the human nature made brilliantly by the Cohen brothers
Very dark & perplexing, yet exceptionally intriguing. A story about a self deprecating egotist. Turturro is phenomenal! Goodman same as ever
Good for all its length, brilliant in its ending
unique and well made with great acting performances + interesting hollywood symbolism, but didn't personally enjoy it; still a decent movie
Slow paced and ends with complete insanity out of left field and out of tone with the rest of the movie.
Manages not only to be darkly hilarious but the most insightful film ever made about the movie industry.
Probably the most underrated Coen film. Starts off as a drama, but the last 45 mins are everything you'd expect from a Coen film and more.
Great movie about writing especially about writing for oneself and writing for Hollywood. More people should view the movie.
extraordinary atmosphere, I liked the dialogues as well.
As soon as I watched it, went to sleep, and woke up afterwards, I honestly couldn’t tell you one single thing that happened in the film.
DK if I ever actually saw this, as it always looked like a dull movie to give a go in the rental store!
I’ve only seen it once and it didn’t connect with me. I think it’s one of the Coens’ most polarizing.
One of the most unique films I've ever seen. John Goodman and John Turturro are amazing in this extremely interesting dark comedy
