Occasionally a bit boring, but still solidly written and well acted.

The pinnacle of Merchant-Ivory film. Well-paced, romantic, political, and a sumptuous visual period piece.
Drew

Intelligent but slow adaptation of a classic novel. Emma Thompson is great, but this isn’t her best role. Class issues are fascinating imo.
