I’ve never seen John C. Reily acting like this before. PTA is such an underrated director. I love this movie!
PTA just can’t miss. No idea why this movie isn’t thought of as one of the all time greats… JRC, PBH and Samuel Jackson. Enough said
An all-around phenomenal directorial debut by PTA. Character-driven, slick dialogue, and great acting.
A glimpse at what PTA will become. He’s not quite there, but I also don’t think this is his worst film by any means.
A nice start for an amazing director. A story that moves quick with some very strong acting all around. Definitely shows PTA’s potential
Painfully average and often a little muddled, but still has some very interesting content for a first effort.
Reilly shines in this claustrophobic thriller. The energy between the cast in the motel room scenes is palpable. Great PTA movie, as always.
A interesting if unremarkable debut from P.T. Anderson
Great performances. The first act is full of a kinetic youthful spirit that's hard not to get caught up in.
Very good and it's the first Paul thomas Anderson movie so it's a nice begining for his career
