Didn't expect much... but it's a fun, enjoyable, funny movie!

Story feels a little rushed and forced. But Lemon and Matthau are still able to pull in the laughs.

A classic comedy that proves that clean comedic writing and “on point” delivery can still be as funny as today’s obscene comedies

Some may say that this isn’t all that good, but I like the tandem of Jack Lemon & Walter Matthau. One of my top 20 or so faves

Funny movie with a great comedy team of Matthau and Lemon. Good leading ladiy as well.

Larry Donner, an author with a cruel ex-wife, teaches a writing workshop in which one of his students, Owen, is fed up with his domineering mother. When Owen watches a Hitchcock classic that seems to mirror his own life, he decides to put the movie's plot into action and offers to kill Larry's ex-wife, if Larry promises to murder his mom. Before Larry gets a chance to react to the plan, it seems that Owen has already set things in motion.
