Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan

I have a very soft spot for this entry in the Jason saga. It's got my favorite kill in the whole series and has such a strange charm to it.

Most of the film is on a boat, not Manhattan. So the filmmakers wanted to do something different, but couldn’t even commit to it.

New levels of stupid (both intentional and not) for the series. I like the location shift, but the last 40 minutes are so boring and dumb.

One of the more absurd Jason movies. Once they finally get to New York it is a very nice grimey 80s New York. Should be called Jason Cruisin

Great for watching with friends or just having on as a joke but if you have to sit down and watch it then you have my pity

There is no question that this is a terrible movie all though i do tend to enjoy a few scenes in it and some of the kills are decent

Not the best Jason movie but it has some funny kills and if you like the slasher genre it's worth a watch.

Most people don't like this film but I love it! It's great because Jason isn't just killing people at a camp, like usual

The idea of Jason going to NY is pretty cool, but sadly most of the gore and awesome NY shots were cut, so most of the movies set on a boat.

Love this one. It's got Predator 2 vibes. It knows not to take itself too seriously and that's good.

The title is misleading and it's only good choose how bad it is

You get what you pay for. It’s Jason in Manhattan. Worth watching just to see Jason fight a boxer on the rooftop.

One of the worst entries in the series. Calling it Jason Takes Manhattan, but literally more than an hour he is on a freaking boat. Just no.

Friday the 13th is my favorite franchise and I dig all of them. Still, this is one of the weakest in the series with a misleading title.
