I'm a bit biased because I love anything Herzog makes but I adore this film.
One of those films where the behind the scenes is on par, if not better, than the film itself. Definitely an extravagant feat in filmmaking
Stunning visuals and a compelling story. Herzog again revisits themes of impossible dreams and the ambition of men.
The raw psychotic energy Kinski brings to the lead role makes the movie. A man driven by his need for an opera house is a great watch.
