Imagine 2001 made by Samuel Beckett and you’re pretty close. It’s dry, cynical, and has a lot to say about how boring space can be.
This is a fun movie. Low budget but imaginative.
Carpenter’s student film. Not exactly on par with his later stuff but nevertheless fascinating
It's a really good movie for the budget it had, the ending was excellent!
An unlikely absurdist space comedy from Carpenter. The best of backyard filmmaking—my favorite scene is Pinback in the elevator shaft!
I still find myself singing Benson Arizona from time to time as I plummet further towards death.
It does a good job of making space travel mundane and boring which is probably true with moments of hitchhiker style comedy.
Super weird sci fi film. This feels like a college film because it essentially is but it’s Carpenter, so it’s worth watching at least once
Not at all what I expected. At times funny, sad, and thought provoking. The effects are quite good considering the year this film came out.
A nice low budget movie that on Carpenter fans willingly sit trough. Get that Beach Ball!
