i love everything about this film, well except for the female lead, but the monster makes up for it
Ol’ Gilly might not be on the “Core 4 Rushmore” but he and this movie are my favorite of them all. I’m still amazed by the underwater shots!
Classic Universal Monster Movie goodness
A classic, lots of fun and filmed really well. Probably the best of the classic universal monster movies
A classic “man in a rubber suit” movie 😂
Awesome. I feel like it would’ve been terrifying in the 50’s.
A proper monster movie with a tragic sub-aquatic hero.
A great classic monster movie a complete joy to watch oh and the creature effects are awesome
Enjoyably silly monster movie featuring clever underwater photography and a cool creature design. Great rainy afternoon fare.
The design of the Gillman is iconic, the underwater scenes are memorable, even believable. This is the level B-movies should strive for.
When scientists exploring the Amazon River stumble on a “missing link” connecting humans and fish, they plan to capture it for later study. But the Creature has plans of his own, and has set his sights on the lead scientist's beautiful fiancée, Kay.
In a tributary of the Amazon, a monster – half-man, half-fish – is captured and placed in a reservoir in a Florida national park to be observed by scientists.
Scientists surgically transform the Creature into an air-breather, but being able to live on land is not enough to make him comfortable with humans. Enraged, he turns his wrath on anyone who comes near as he desperately tries to return to the deep-water world where he truly belongs.
