To be honest not a bad remake. Freddy looks kinda off compared to the original movies, other than that. A decent time to watch and enjoy
I know a lot of people can't get over a different actor playing Freddy. This movie was actually scary, a good cast, and wasn't a comedy.
What few positives I can attribute to this reboot are unfortunately outshined by it's many ineptitudes.
Jackie Earle Haley had big boots to fill, and he didn't do bad, but that's all the credit I can give this one. It had a dark feel, but bland
Tbh I like this remake It made Freddy even darker to where it makes where no one roots for him. I think that’s how villains should be
This was the first elm street movie I saw and it almost ruined it for me seeing the original movie (I did and its way better than this)
A nightmare is right. At least the film is self aware.
Had to check I didn’t live on Elm St. cause watching this made me feel like I was the one in the nightmare. A true film for dream world hell
Awful they took everything you liked about Freddy and made it more retarded
It really isn't a good addition to the Freddy Krueger saga, but I must admit it really did frightened me when I was a young teenager...
I just have such a great appreciation for the original that this really let me down. It wasn't bad but it just didn't compare.
Not too bad if you take it solely as a thriller
Stupid completely disrespects the original
The first one which one was quit funny and less scary Terry being scary terry
The original is good, the remake is crap
A classic, not the best, but still fun to watch
They completely made Freddy into something he wasn't, a child melestor! I'd rather him kill them then to sexually abuse them
So many good ideas but extremely poor execution.
Only reason I’m not giving this an awful rating is bc of Jackie Earl Haley being Freddy!
There was no need for this to be made just a worse version of the original turning fred krugar from a murderer to pedophile
While not as good as the original it’s still enjoyable Jackie earl Haley turns in a creepy unsettling Freddy performance
