A good first half, but in the seconds it loses a bit of the magic. Amazing performance though from Michael Fassbender.
A good film, despite the uncomfortable topics discussed. Exceptional acting involved.
A fun film revolving around early psychoanalysists. I enjoyed watching Jung's career mold through his trials and tribulations.
All the performances are good but theres just something that holds this one back. Knightly is excessive in character at times.
An interesting and imaginative story about the rivalry of Freud & Jung as they establish the theories of psychoanalysis.
An intriguing biographical drama from Cronenberg. It’s not an easy watch due to the story, but it’s worth viewing for the acting alone.
Good Cronenberg. Freaky just showing people be their weird selves. I miss old classic Cronenberg, but this is fun.
Complex. Slightly hard to follow without any psych understanding, but v interesting
A great retelling of the (true) story behind Freud's discovery of love-transference and how he fell out with Jung.
"A look at how the intense relationship between Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud gives birth to psychoanalysis." Where exactly does this happen?
Very slow moving but the stellar cast is really what keeps you hanging on. A little bland and ultimately forgettable
Was good at first then slowly became dull
Wikipedia is more interesting. Fassbender and Mortensen really wasted their talents. I couldn’t stand Keira Knightley and her jutting jaw.
I expected more from this movie. The emphasis is on the love aphere and not on psychology
I loved it. Those not invested in Cronenberg or psychology history might not find much here. Twists the facts but gets the spirit right.
No characters develop, nothing happens, but they do a lot of ACTING. I think at one point Kiera knightly is upstaged by her own chin.
Went in hoping something decent, got out hating this piece of bullshit.
It makes me understand how horny Freud is
A really enjoyable movie that provides an insight on 3 of the most important minds of the 20th century.
So boring with good cinematography. Knightly’s accent was very painful.
