Less cerebral than its predecessor, but still a worthy watch
2001 is way better, but I enjoyed watching anyway.
A follow-up that walks in the footsteps of 2001: A Space Odyssey. Both are sci-fi classics worth a watch if you’re a fan of the genre.
It’s a follow up to the amazing movie 2001. It misses some of the charm the first one has but is still a good movie 7/10
On its own terms, it’s an okay sci-fi movie that adds canonical context to 2001. Think of it like a companion piece and less as a sequel.
Very different from 2001. Fairly average.
There's a couple of nice ideas spinning of from 2001, there's a couple of good looking scenes. But it ain't no Kubrick!
Not as analytical as the first one, but much less strenuous on the brain
Unnecessary, but not a bad follow up if you wanted more of 2001. Really solid performances.
Decent sequel with great performances. It’s not the original, but it’s far from disgraceful thanks to director Peter Hyams.
