Closer to the book, and the right location, but not as scary as the Kubrick.

Not Stanley Kubrick's. A little cheesy. But enjoyable
A decent retelling of the book. But has lost some of the suspense and all the terror in visual format
A slower take on the Stephen King book. That’s more faithful to it.
Much closer to King's novel. So far away from being any good.
While it lacks the scares and atmosphere of Kubrick’s is still entertaining enough
If only it wasn't hampered by having to be rated for TV, it could've been great. Steven Weber nails the warring conscience of Jack Torrance
Funny how King didnt enjoyed the WAY better movie. Everything which made the movie stand out is here wasted just to tell the book story.
I can't understand why they thought this adaptation was necessary. Maybe faithful to the book, but scary just because of how bad it is.
