Dark, gritty, brutal, unflinchingly real look at the realities of the American correctional system. **sexual violence trigger warnings apply
Riveting as can be. I went in not really feeling it and now I’m hooked.
HBOs first original series (to my memory). A bit overly dramatic prison drama, but a veritable whose who of character actors.
I’d give it a 3.5/4. It was interesting & thought provoking but I’m not sure that general life in a max facility would allow such liberties.
Excellent prison drama with a multitude of interesting characters and plots over the course of its run. Not for the faint hearted.
La meilleure série existante sur l'univers carcérale et certainement la meilleure qui n'existera jamais. À voir absolument
The original HBO drama. Brutal in tone, very dark. Must-Watch.
One of 1st series that broke rules. Closeups to create confinement, constant moving camera to resemble doc. Dialogue driven & Greek chorus.
Oz is the show that set HBO up for everything that was to follow. No Oz, no ‘The Sopranos’. No ‘The Wire’. Thank Christ for Oz!
Brutal show, fantastic characters. A big stumbling block for this is the film quality and production is very basic. Still amazing though
