Margaret Hale is a southerner from a country vicarage newly settled in the industrial northern town of Milton. In the shock of her move, she misjudges charismatic cotton mill-owner John Thornton, whose strength of purpose and passion are a match for her own pride and willfulness. When the workers of Milton call a strike, Margaret takes their side, and the two are brought into deeper conflict. As events spiral out of control, Margaret - to her surprise - begins to fall in love with Thornton...

Perfection in tension, backdrops, fashion, acting. So good.
Excellent, quite excellent. I need bigger fancier words to describe how much this show means to my poor lonely soul haha
It's great! The theme goes so hard! That tracking shot at the end of Episode 1 has been living in my head rent-free for a decade.
It's so beautifully filmed. The show is atmospheric and evocative. The music is beautiful. Loved the acting too!
Watched for Armitage, but really enjoyed this overall. A good mini series worth the watch if you like time pieces like this.
Watched it because of Armitage and ended up enjoying it quite a bit. Worth watching at least once if you like these type of stories.
I love this. It’s a show to put on when you are having a lazy day
A tight adaptation with great acting, direction and pacing. A beautifully told story of relationships across class boundaries.
Watch it over and over, I love it. It's not simpering, it takes every plot road it could and is satisfying...*puts it on*
