A worthy tribute to, and continuation of themes of the original film. Budgetary compromise doesn't do much to distract from the adventure.
Very good entry into the Godzilla canon. More quiet and human-based but still good. Clear influences of Barefoot Gen & Dunkirk.

This is a. Spectacle to see, they nailed rhe practical effects in this movie as well as the story and that is what helps deliver it home!
