slice of life + ALIENS!? did a lovely job transporting the viewer into the world of the film + the characters were so earnest & curious <3<3
Although we know the story it is never cliche. Visually interesting with an uneasy atmosphere. Great sound design.
Much like how I ended up appreciating The VVitch, the atmosphere is what carries this. It is more like a painting than a thriller.
Loved the two leads, thought the color pallette was great and the pacing was well done.
Different. I really enjoyed this. Quiet atmospheric slice of life sort of thing. Like you're listening to a story late-night at a bar.
