Its not a horrible movie, there are worse movies out there. Its simply fun and thats fine
Big commercial for Paramount+.. hate that this is what SpongeBob has become
it had some good moments but it just didn’t have the spongebob magic from the show or first movie
A recycled story with questionable and lengthy sequences. The animation, however, was quite pretty.
The animation style took some getting used to, but it was fun to watch with friends during the pandemic. The cameos and laughs are gold.
outside of the flaws including the setup for Kamp Koral it pretty decent yet is the weakest in the trilogy, Animation cool & Reeves standout

I’m a huge fan of Spongebob but this movie was a big miss. It had a few good moments but it’s basically a big ad for the new show.

There's trouble brewing in Bikini Bottom. Someone has stolen King Neptune's crown, and it looks like Mr. Krab, SpongeBob's boss, is the culprit. Though he's just been passed over for the promotion of his dreams, SpongeBob stands by his boss, and along with his best pal Patrick, sets out on a treacherous mission to Shell City to reclaim the crown and save Mr. Krab's life.
Evil pirate Burger Beard is in search of the final page of a magical book that makes any evil plan he writes in it come true, but the final page happens to be the Krabby Patty secret formula. When Burger Beard endangers Bikini Bottom, SpongeBob, Patrick, Mr. Krabs, Squidward, Sandy, and Plankton must embark on a quest to retrieve the recipe and save their city...a quest that takes them to the surface world and transforms them into superheroes.
