Mad Max 2
Adventure • R • 1981 • 1 hr 36 min
This is the benchmark for post apocalyptic movies
This movie was a lot of fun, but I can't help feel as if some of the characters were wasted.
Really brings the Mad Max series into full speed (heh heh). A lot of similarities with the western genre as well with the themes
Perfecr blend of camp and serious action. Tbe Humungous is both hilarious and terrorfying. Best of the Gibson trilogy
This movie is filled with crazy characters that make you feel how mad the world is which in turn makes the post apocalyptic world amazing.
You can see why the 4th film took full inspiration from the final action scene in this film.
A Very much Overlooked Mad Max Film, A Absolute Must Watch!! Super good!!! And I rare case where the sequel is Better.
Great minimalist story propels mad max….this is a great anthology series
Story takes place in post-apocalyptic Australia where fuel is scarce. This a rare case where the sequel is better. Great action and setting.
Haven’t seen the first, a bit slow moving, I still liked it though
In the ravaged near future, a savage motorcycle gang rules the road. Terrorizing innocent civilians while tearing up the streets, the ruthless gang laughs in the face of a police force hell-bent on stopping them. But they underestimate one officer: Max Rockatansky. And when the bikers brutalize Max's best friend and family, they send him into a mad frenzy that leaves him with only one thing left in the world to live for – revenge!
Max Rockatansky returns as the heroic loner who drives the dusty roads of a postapocalyptic Australian Outback in an unending search for gasoline. Arrayed against him and the other scraggly defendants of a fuel-depot encampment are the bizarre warriors commanded by the charismatic Lord Humungus, a violent leader whose scruples are as barren as the surrounding landscape.
Mad Max becomes a pawn in a decadent oasis of a technological society, and when exiled, becomes the deliverer of a colony of children.
An apocalyptic story set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and most everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life. Within this world exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order.
As the world falls, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers into the hands of a great biker horde led by the warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the wasteland, they encounter the citadel presided over by Immortan Joe. The two tyrants wage war for dominance, and Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.
Sequel to the film "Mad Max: Fury Road"
