The Proposition is undoubtedly a work of genius for lovers of poetic cinema, audience interpretation, and the art of the gray area.
Australia's dirty version of Dead Man. Just as good. I hope Nick Cave and Neil Young are friends.
Phenomenal modern western. Great story even better atmosphere. Flows so well and goes down smooth.
Violent and gritty Australian western. Great soundtrack and good cast. I recommend it.
Pretty good film. I went into it mostly for the music, but it was a fun watch.
Great outback Western. A very, simple but gut-punch of a plot. Very well-written with great Nick Cave score. Underrated gem.
Gritty, violent outback Western takes a tense journey into the heart of darkness. Hillcoat has yet to direct a 2nd film as stunning as this.
An incredible piece of cinema. Stunning in every sense of the word, brutal and beautiful in equal measure
Amazing! Some scenes are like a poetry. And did not fantasize about the 19th century, shows every as dirty and rough as it was.
A compelling Australian western that loses it's way a bit towards the end, but is well worth a watch for genre fans.
