An interesting story that could have used more action but Christopher Walken is the man.
Come for Christopher Walken and stay for Viggo Mortensen.
I wanted to love it but the storyline is too linear and too little of lucifer to redeem it. I love you, I love you more than Jesus
Christopher Walken puts on a stellar performance. Not the most terrifying horror movie but moody and well worth a watch.
Walker is glorious, so is Viggo, over the top, great
Angels vs. Demons. What's not to love? How about cast - devilish Walken and Mortensen & saviors Stoltz, Madsen and Koteas.
I liked this 20 years ago. Viggo Mortensen was great for his sporty screentime, if I remember correctly. Walken was good.
Not a great movie and Christopher Walken isn't in it enough to justify top billing.

The angel Gabriel comes to Earth to collect a soul which will end the stalemated war in Heaven. However, it is hidden inside of a Native American girl and only a former priest and a schoolteacher can stop him.
The archangel Gabriel returns to try to destroy the human race he despises so much, with the help of a suicidal teen and the opposition of the angel Danyael.
As the War in Heaven and on Earth rages on, Pyriel, the Angel of Genocide, rises to power, intending to destroy all of mankind. The only one who stands in his way is street preacher Danyael, who was born of an Angel and a woman, the nephilim.
There exists an ancient manuscript still writing itself called the Lexicon. It supposedly tells of the coming of the Anti-Christ, and happens to fall into the hands of an unsuspecting woman. Now, she is being pursued by angels intent on obtaining the information from the book.
In Bucharest, theology student Allison is still protecting the mysterious Lexicon where the last chapter about the Antichrist could the win the stalemated war in heaven for either side. Meanwhile, the evil and jealous leader of the renegade angels, Stark, forces hit-man Dylan to kill Allison to get the information about the Antichrist, but Dylan begins to fall for her, protecting her at what cost?
