A slow-burn, masterfully directed and really well acted...worth a watch
It’s a good movie, but it’s really hard to watch (multiple rape scenes and racism). Realistically shows how brutal colonial England was.
Disturbing and visceral. I genuinely cheered for the main character. This is not an easy movie to watch
A powerful, dark, raw, painful and captivating tale. It's as horrifying as it's compelling as it's poignant. It could tear you apart.

In a film full of brutality, the most upsetting thing is the inhumanity of the soldiers. A veneer of respectability hiding depravity.
OMFG. This one became one of my favourite movies. I can't believe I haven't heard of this movie untill now. What a masterpiece.
The shock factor is definitely there. Wish the pacing and writing was a bit tighter. Overall definitely worth a watch, but beware.
Saying anything would be to much. Sorry if you hate my review. Time to go watch it.
