Definitely not marketed correctly. The Little Stranger is not a horror movie; it's 1940's drama. Some tense moments, but way more drama.

A different ending from the book, and maybe not the right one. Still, an interesting adaptation.
Low-key ghost story with lots of atmosphere. Think 1940s dilapidated Downton Abbey with a mysterious twist. Really enjoyed the performances.
If you want to see something to scare you this is not the right movie for you. Slow plot, stupid ending, bad acting.
