As a child I remember this 1 had my on the edge of my shit! I haven’t visit it since then, so I’m not sure what my opinion would’ve been now
Not that bad actually. There was some suspense and while plot was predictable it unrolled nicely.
Too predictable and cliche driven to produce any real tension.
The atmosphere of this movie was so intense. I really liked the setting and the acting. Also the plot was really good.
Not terrible, not unique, not a classic. I honestly had forgotten all about this movie, but it was good for what it was.

When Ruby and Rhett's parents are killed in a car accident, their carefree teenage lives are suddenly shattered. Moving to an incredible house in Malibu with the Glasses', old friends of the family, seems to be the beginning of a new life for them.
One year after losing their son David, Eve Goode and her husband Raymond Goode adopt the orphan Ethan Snow (and his teenager sister Abby Snow and bring them to their mansion nearby a lake. Abby faces difficulties of adaptation in her new home, and she confronts Eve, who proves to be deranged and unstable. When Ethan gets sick, Abby tries to contact their friend, detective Ben Koch, and she realizes that her brother and she are trapped in the house.
