Not close to as good as I was expecting. Unique and nostalgic gives it points.
I didn't expect to enjoy it, but it was genuinely a good watch, now I shall watch part 2!
It’s been a few days since I’ve seen it and I just can’t stop thinking about how creepy and unsettling Ethan Hawke’s mannerisms were.
pretty solid for a horror, anxiety inducing but also some silly moments. good acting, the belt scene was kind of triggering

Pretty solid horror thriller. Its absolutely unhinged without being a gorefest or exclusively paranormal. I enjoyed the plot and conclusion.
I really do consider this as the best movie I’ve watched in 2022. I feel like nothing really beats it, I doubt anything can.
I thought everything about this movie was great! The villain was terrifying. The kids were great. The suspense, the thrills, all so good!!!!

Finney Blake, a shy but clever 13-year-old boy, is abducted by a sadistic killer and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is of little use. When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer’s previous victims. And they are dead set on making sure that what happened to them doesn’t happen to Finney.
Four years after defeating The Grabber, Finney Blake is struggling with life after captivity. When his younger sister Gwen begins receiving calls in her dreams from the Black Phone and seeing disturbing visions of three boys being stalked at a winter camp, the siblings become determined to solve the mystery and confront a killer who has grown more powerful in death and more significant to them than either could imagine.
