This is a bold statement, but I think this one far succeeds the first one! From giving more weight to the characters to the ridiculous humor
Not as good as the first, which is understandable, but felt like this was a good sequel. Didn't feel like a cash grab - good storyline.
I sequel I didn’t think I needed. If you enjoyed the first one then I recommend watching this.

I love Irvines novels and am a sucker for anything Danny Boyle touches. A must see for Welsh fan or 90s teen.

A worthy sequel that avoids rehashing it's predecessor and has plenty of new things to say about its generation twenty years on.

Heroin addict Mark Renton stumbles through bad ideas and sobriety attempts with his unreliable friends -- Sick Boy, Begbie, Spud and Tommy. He also has an underage girlfriend, Diane, along for the ride. After cleaning up and moving from Edinburgh to London, Mark finds he can't escape the life he left behind when Begbie shows up at his front door on the lam, and a scheming Sick Boy follows.
