Too authentic at times. It is brutal and uncomfortable but also O’Connell is magnificent in the lead. It can be a tough watch but still good
Really good film. All round good acting with O’Connell and Mendelsohn both excelling. Little more brutality and depth needed. 8.5/10
A brutal hard hitting drama with fantastic performances. Has a improvised feel but never escapes the main drama
"O Connell stars as Eric Love a tough but young prisoner a great film hard hitting if you like your prison movies this is a great watch"
Intensely packed and focused, the turbulences among characters is great
Depiction of a troubled kid and his relation with his father in a context of prison.
Good movie about behavior problems of young man and problems with his family
I’ve always liked Jack and knew he’d bring such brilliant acting to this prison drama. But the film itself wasn’t bad but wasn’t great
Jack O'Connell is an absolute tour de force, somehow playing a likable scumbag, in otherwise fairly standard prison fare.
La impotencia del personaje, el enojo acumulado se logra contagiar, buena actuación y subtextos interesantes.
