Not as good as True Grit but still solid
Pretty good for a fat alcoholic who could barely read and died with 3lbs of shit in his gut.
A classic John Wayne film. Worth the watch especially if you're a John Wayne fan.
Wayne and Hepburn are great. Fun western.
Basically a Western remake of the African Queen. Wayne and Hepburn have solid chemistry, but the story is pretty weak.
The combo in the movie you never knew you needed. Funny film and it's John Wayne so. Great duo film.
John Wayne bring paired up with Katherine Hepburn was perfect casting. He’s characters personality is polar opposite of hers and it works !

The murder of her father sends a teenage tomboy on a mission of 'justice', which involves avenging her father's death. She recruits a tough old marshal, 'Rooster' Cogburn because he has 'true grit', and a reputation of getting the job done.
After a band of drunken thugs overruns a small Indian Nation town, killing Reverend Goodnight and raping the women folk, Eula Goodnight enlists the aid of US Marshal Cogburn to hunt them down and bring her father's killers to justice.
The further adventures of True Grit's Rooster Cogburn has him battling injustice in his own unorthodox way while contending with a teenage girl bent on reforming him.
