There’s nothing to say about this film that I haven’t said about every other Kurosawa film. It just fucking works.
Slow burning, heart felt and thought provoking. Truly wonderful
One of my favorite Kurosawa films, really shows off his faith in the goodness of mankind. More people like Red Beard are needed today
an absolute delight and treat in leadership and many human virtues for which Kurosawa was known to depict masterfully.

Akira Kurosawa's lauded feudal epic presents the tale of a petty thief who is recruited to impersonate Shingen, an aging warlord, in order to avoid attacks by competing clans.
