My favourite work from the star and the director. Sumptuous high drama, a devastating conclusion, and amazing food (an actual plot point!)
A character with so much soul. So disaffected, but then develops a great amount of care for those who don’t care for her.

I really like how the camera captures the chinese architecture. The characters are not well developed and the story is very linear, though.
