Watched in class i think it was well made
Well animated and interesting but crams too much into one film, losing the emotional significance. Would recommend reading the books first.
The noir animation and the naration both go hand in hand to tell a story that gets both heart touching and funny, sometimes at the same time

If you need insight on Iran’s political context
As an Iranian I can say things shared about Shah was absolutely bullsh*t. true about IR, they’ve become more brutal throughout the years.
I’ll never forget this film. It’s heartbreaking to watch Marjane’s journey in fundamentalist Iran and her solitude in Europe.
Must watch for animation movie lovers. Underrated
