Barely 3* since you have to endure Malcovitch's acting which may or may not represent intent of writing. But Sinese keeps it together.
Honestly a really good adaptation from the book. Obviously it’s not 100% accurate but I thought it was good.
Great adaptation of the classic novel where Sinise and Malkovich embody the characters well. Touching and uplifting.
this was a book on the school curriculum so I have read & seen many adaptations of this. this film version is a very good drama to discuss

Young teen Mikey Walsh and his friends set off on a quest to find Pirate One-Eyed Willie's treasure in hopes of saving their homes from demolition. However, on their quest to find the treasure, they run into a family of recently escaped criminals, determined to capture the kids and reach the treasure first.
