Cried for character that never had a chance, born to suffer alone. Also: Beautiful af (seriously) and typical lion king comedy bits.
.. great to know the story behind one of the best villain of the cinemas history: Scar!
“The 10 Commandments” meets “The Land Before Time”. Music is solid, but not iconic. Compelling story mostly aligns with original film.
Leans heavily on the first lion king and it is far from as good as that, but still enjoyable.
I prefer when they create new stories then do remakes so I enjoyed this one

Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub's arrival. Scar, Mufasa's brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba's exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.
Mufasa, a cub lost and alone, meets a sympathetic lion named Taka, the heir to a royal bloodline. The chance meeting sets in motion an expansive journey of a group of misfits searching for their destiny.
