Fun, enjoyable watch that’s really brought to life by Thompson and Branagh
Kenneth Branagh at it again! Probably was his best Shakespeare movie. The play slaps and so does the movie.

Branagh and Thompson shine in this cheerful adaptation. It’s good enough you can almost forget Reeve’s performance. Just a wonderful film.
Romcom vibes paired with patriarchal power tripping conveyed through poetry in a garden setting and somehow irresistible.
I love how poetic everyone talked, had me laughing at some bits.
Sometimes movies really are about nothing except the demonstration of cinematic brilliance. Thank God for spectacles.
