It's a Chinese adventure - fantasy type film. Not really my viewing choice. Reminds me of lora Croft films. C+

"Mojin: The Lost Legend" (aka "The Ghouls", a title which do the movie no justice at all) is definitely not a movie that you should let slip under your radar. I became aware of the movie because I am a fan of Shu Qi, so of course I had to watch the movie. And let me just say that this movie can essentially be summarized as a Chinese "Tomb Raider" movie, of sorts.
After returning from the ancient city of Jingjue, Xue Li Yang found that the curse of ghost-eye erythema had afflicted her, and used a strategy to let King Hu Bayi, Fatty Wang and others go to the Longling Labyrinth to find the Dragon Bone Book, trying to lift the curse. Taking risks, encountering ancient mythical beasts, a giant catfish, the iron-headed dragon king, red-eyed wolves that feed on human bones, and fighting human-faced spiders, the road ahead is uncertain, whether they can escape…

The story follows the team as they try to raid a tomb made by master tomb raiders. It is set partially in Russia and will involve scenes at Catherine Palace in St. Petersburg.
