For a war movie, there’s a lot more talking than action. Everything comes together near the end but feels like chatting mostly.
How to maintain humor in the face of the daily navy grind. This is Jack Lemon’s film even though Gonda is the headliner. The ending is it!
Lovable old movie and full of charm, but much of the humor feels contrived and the story is so so.
