It's okay. But it has that KILLER line ;)
This is essentially a slow burn thriller at its finest. While every performer delivers, Bogart & Robinson deliver a master class. A classic.
Incredible camera work and acting make for a simple work of beauty.

Gangsters make a getaway to rainy Florida Keys with cash & extra gasoline. Hold up in a house and threaten guests. Bogart does his thing.
No one does atmosphere like those old noirs.
So visceral, you can practically feel the humidity!
Bogart is awesone as always, convincingly cool. Very basic noir though.
It’s funny how Bogie would basically play the Robinson role in Desperate Hours. Tense and electric captive thriller. Bacall is underused.
