It's okay. But it has that KILLER line ;)
A classic of gangster movie and one of Bogarts best!
Gangsters make a getaway to rainy Florida Keys with cash & extra gasoline. Hold up in a house and threaten guests. Bogart does his thing.
Incredible camera work and acting make for a simple work of beauty.
This is essentially a slow burn thriller at its finest. While every performer delivers, Bogart & Robinson deliver a master class. A classic.
So visceral, you can practically feel the humidity!
Bogart is awesone as always, convincingly cool. Very basic noir though.
Some part of me feels bad for not giving it more than a meh. The dialogue and characters are just not Intriguing at all.
Great performances, intriguing and creative setup, though I feel it wasn't explored as fully or as darkly as it might have been
Long stretches of boring monologues saved by Bogart's hardy charisma. A few excellent scenes of tension.
Let's be real, no old film is as entertaining as modern cinema. There I said it.
I always enjoy the old Humphrey Bogart films, this is no different. It is an enjoyable film worth watching.
Solid for Bogart fans
Key largo fire
