I remembered really liking it and although I have good memories of it I tried rewatching it and it is near unwatchable

One of the worst 'made for kids' movies I've seen.

Sold on the anthropomorphic kangaroo in a knockabout comedy. It isn't. And the kangaroo is there for less than five minutes.
