Middle of the road buddy cop family film, along with Turner & Hooch, lit the passion for future shows in the same vein i.e Hudson and Rex?

Even Belushi can't save a movie with an animal as a lead.

An amiable enough buddy cop and dog movie that I enjoyed as a kid.

A fine example of the "dog+cop that doesn't like dogs" genre, slightly overshadowed by Turner and Hooch but I really liked this one as a kid
