Read this book when I was 11 and this movie really did a great job of translating the hard stuff on screen
It was interesting to rewatch this after actually being sent to a place like this. Excellent film either way, regardless of accuracy.
Honest, warm, and quietly powerful. Balances humor and heart while handling mental health with real empathy.
Mixed reviews for the book, but I still wanted to watch. Certain scenes got me emotional + raw topics involving mental illness. Good music!
