Closer to meh than great. There is just so much going on, it probably requires multiple viewings. Amazing scenery & setup for future films.
Costner desperately tries to portray an epic story in this film. But there is no epic story here, just a dull one.
Man, when I saw the trailer for this I was so excited! Just to many storylines and none of them were engaging.
Overall this was really good and it is getting unfair hate. However, the final three minute montage was mind-boggling and very jarring.
There’s a few too many storylines going on, but overall it was a good setup for the next two movies.
Not quite interesting for a three hours run, maybe two, the movie is week made, but the stories a bit forgettables.
Great portrayal of the old West, the sagas the settlers had to go through, with a great cast as well.
Costner deliver a beginner of a western epic that can be overstuffed but make you want the next part asap. The ensemble cast is really good.
I like the storylines and attached characters, although some of it is a little dated. I just wish this was a series, not a film franchise.
While not great as I expected, it is still a great setup to the next films. Pacing was an issue at times, but the great story is there.
