Sufficiently scary. Caveat though, prior knowledge of the franchise made the circumstances significantly creepier for me.
This literally brings the whole fucking series together oh my god best film ever
I never like a prequel. This one was A+. I wasn’t on the creepy clown train, but this one did it. Dark and spooky
This one really puts the stories together well! For low budget movies, they are pretty good! Sometimes it was meh, but overall 6/10

I have waited so long, a little let down. The tropes of white vrs black shows up, but as far as Hell House is still greatness.

Juggles a bit too much with too heavy a hand, sometimes messy, sometimes frustrating. But the scares, especially in act 1, were peak anxiety
My personal favorite out of the series. Eerie. Creepy. Good jump scares. I think it was better than the previous in the franchise.

Eight years after the opening night tragedy of HELL HOUSE LLC, many unanswered questions remain. Thanks to an anonymous tip, an investigative journalist is convinced that key evidence is hidden inside the abandoned Abaddon Hotel. She assembles a team to break into the hotel in hopes of discovering the truth. A group of cold case investigators stay at the Carmichael Manor, site of the grisly and unsolved murders of the Carmichael family back in the eighties. After four nights, the group was never heard from again. What is discovered on their footage is even more disturbing than anything found on the Hell House tapes.
After a near-death experience, Vanessa Shepherd faces nightmares in Abaddon. As mysterious deaths occur around her, she discovers her connection to the Abaddon Hotel, Carmichael Manor, and decades of unexplained murders.
