Worthy sequel. Popeye Doyle in Marsailles after drug dealer. French cops can't stand him. Won't learn French. Gets drunk. Complains nonstop.
The gritty Marseilles scenery is cool but the story and action are lacking. Very different to the original.
Obviously not as good as the original, but entertaining all the same. The charm of the original is still there, at least for me.
Totally unnecessary sequel that does not have the same snap and charisma of the first one. The plot is totally convoluted and unrealistic.
Kind of boring and unnecessary sequel. Hackman is great, duh. But he’s stuck hanging out with the blandest of European cops. Very slow.
