Brilliant everything you want from a late 80s early 90s action sci-fi
Solid Stuart Gordon 90's B-Movie sci-fi action flick! Standard formula, but writing & good performances made me care about the characters.

Lambert trying to build on his cult action star status from Highlander. It is far from good, but it is still trashy fun.
Gritty, violent, creative, great performances
Great cast, top story, similar to Wedlock & Escape Plan 1 + 2, & it's own sequel so could all B watched together even! Make a weekend of it?
I struggled to figure out what was going on while the style, visuals and premise also failed to connect.
This movie barely earns a good rating, mostly due to it’s interesting concepts. The effects, action and casting have that B-movie stank tho

In the future, the inmates of a private underground prison are computer-controlled with cameras, dream readers, and devices that can cause pain or death. John and his illegally pregnant wife Karen are locked inside "The Fortress" but are determined to escape before the birth of their baby.
John Brennick once again finds himself imprisoned, but this time in a new, more sophisticated fortress prison in outer space. But Brennick's not a man to give in easily, and with a 10-year-old son waiting for him back on earth, he's going to pack some serious assault on the evil corporation.
