Not only a masterpiece by David Lynch, but also a perfect example of how a space opera can also be told well within a feature film.
Even kind of lynchian. Impressive costumes
Very ambitious but very flawed, moves too fast for its own good. And you definitely need to read the book to understand anything.
While not faithful to the books it succeeds in being a fun campy sifi. Great to put on with friends have a few drinks and laugh.
An ambitious take of the novel. Lynch gives it his weird touch.
An epic production which can standalone. Amazing that so much was omitted from Herbert's books.
They tried to do Dune in 2 hours. It takes 6 plus to make sense.
It may have some flaws and weird parts but other than that it is more than just a movie. (At least for me)
Underated. Yes, the last act all falls apart as it races to get to the end. But the production on this film is fascinating and beautiful.
Not bad after all that was the original movie was six hours long and he had to cut it to make it watchable
