Deadwood: The Movie
TV Movie • 2019 • 1 hr 50 min
Picks up where show left and completes the story well, but doesn’t quite have the same feel as the show.
This is the proper send-off the show needed
Felt like an epilogue. Barely works as a story unto itself. I think any episode of the series is better. But it was a good epilogue.
Good follow up movie to the series we never got a proper end too. A must watch if you watched the show.
It's amazing to see a continuation 10+ years later that is meaningful and stays true to the series. Great to have the cast back.
The beginning is static and introduces the characters one by one, but must be watched for the intersection and conflict in the end
I obviously would have preferred another season or two of the show to wrap things up. I'll happily settle for this climactic movie though.
Tough to wrap up a beloved series 10 years later with a 90 minute movie but I’m glad this movie was made as a massive deadwood fan
The long overdue ending of the greatest TV show in history.
A culmination of phenomenal writing, characters, and their development. A sublime and fitting finale. Truly an underrated masterpiece.
