Super respectful to the original but something entirely its own.
Very close to an amazing, just a couple of otherwise excellent scenes marred by voice overs. Peele on point again. Superb modern take..
Seen as a direct sequel to the original, it explores the events surrounding Helen Lyle and the lore of the Candyman. Interesting twist.
Clears out all of the problematic spiderwebs from the original and lays the best parts of Candyman out like a lovingly prepared feast.
Watch the original movie before you see this as it is widely referenced. A reasonable attempt at a reboot, similar to the original.
Not as woke pushing agenda as people say it is, quite good

It's genuinely scary with not only special effects that stand the test of time but a social message that's still relevant today
I love how it references the first one while being a stand alone. It’s a great movie. I highly recommend it
