Feels like a cheap knockoff. Forced jokes, flat performances, and none of the charm. Shouldn’t have been made.
I like to think I give every movie good, bad an unbiased critical opinion. But like come on, just look at the poster. God, fuck this movie.
It tries to follow the success of Ace Ventura, but the writing doesn't compensate the absence of Jim Carrey.
It's just Ace Ventura for kids. Not bad, but certainly not good.
I really could've gone my whole life not knowing this existed.

Absolute crap. How old did they think their fan base was? At least the animated series was in the 90s, this isn’t even relevant anymore.
I couldn't say enough bad things about this atrocity.

He's Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. The Ace is on the case to find the Miami Dolphins' missing mascot and quarterback Dan Marino. He goes eyeball to eyeball with a man-eating shark, stakes out the Miami Dolphins and woos and wows the ladies. Whether he's undercover, under fire or underwater, he always gets his man… or beast!
Summoned from an ashram in Tibet, Ace finds himself on a perilous journey into the jungles of Africa to find Shikaka, the missing sacred animal of the friendly Wachati tribe. He must accomplish this before the wedding of the Wachati's Princess to the prince of the warrior Wachootoos. If Ace fails, the result will be a vicious tribal war.
"I will try to be normal" 12-year-old Ace Ventura Jr. promises. Thats cool, except whats normal for him is finding missing mutts, kidnapped kitties or gone gators and creating hilarious chaos every step of the way.
