Episode 1-bad guys/vulnerable good guys. Working class noir. Everyone is wounded psychologically. You like it bleak? Try it. It stays bleak.
First off anything with mark ruffalo rarely disappoints. This may be my favorite series I’ve watched on hbo max. I didn’t want it to end.
Raw, brutal, unflinching. Task drags you into the gutter of small-town crime and fractured lives — gritty, human, no escape.
It was pretty good. One where you kinda root for the bad guy, but the ending makes up for that.
One of the better series I've seen this year. Highly addictive, good acting, edge of the seat crime drama. Highly recommend.

Gritty crime drama with heart. Mark Ruffalo shines as a broken FBI agent in this tense cat-and-mouse game. Brutal, bleak, and brilliant.
HBO does it again. Gritty mini series with layered characters, acting, emotion and action. A weekend binge that brought tears and joy.
Top 5 show of all time for me. The character development may be the the best for a single season show. I would strongly recommend.
Ruffalo is a tour de force as a damaged FBI agent, where good guys are bad guys, and bad guys are good guys.
